Theatre Posters
The Brief: Produce a series of 3 eye catching and prestigious posters, and an accompanying programme/special edition booklet. The outcome should be experimental, contemporary and original.

Solution: Shakespeare's plays are symbolic and they all represent love, loss and hatred. My idea was to make my imagery tell the story of the plays, so i decided upon using tattoos as this imagery is a retro way of telling or symbolising something.

Each poster has a rose to portray love and then a prop from the play which represent how the characters have died.
I used black and white imagery to contrast with the vibrant tattoo's as they were the main focus. The tattoo's have been consciously placed in areas that imitate the plays. The model is a man as Shakespeare's plays characters are predominately male.
Romeo and Juliet illustration is placed over where your heart is as the play is written about young love.
The Hamlet drawing is placed on his shoulder as he gets paranoid and constantly thinks that someone is after him.
The Anthony and Cleopatra design is placed in the centre of the back to portray betrayal.
